Dave Hughes names and shames worst A-list celeb: ‘Pain in the a**’

Dave Hughes didn’t hold back when he was asked by an I’m A Celeb campmate to name his worst celebrity encounter.

Hughesy names his worst celeb interview: 'Pain in the a**'

Aussie comedian and radio host Dave Hughes dropped a spicy celebrity anecdote during Sunday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!

Hughesy was being quizzed by campmate Max Balegde, who has started his own chat show called That’s So Camp to pass the time in the African bush.

Balegde asked Hughes, who has interviewed hundreds of celebs in his years as a radio broadcaster, “I want you to be honest – who was the rudest?”

“If we’re going to be honest … it hurts me to say it, but it’s … Ben Stiller. I was a big fan, and he was just a pain in the a**e.”

Hughes joked afterwards that he might have “ruined his Hollywood career” by calling out the powerful actor and director, best known for comedic roles in hit films like Zoolander and Meet the Parents.

Hughesy didn’t reveal when he’d encountered Stiller, or why exactly the movie A-lister had been such a “pain in the a**e.”

Meanwhile, the first of this season’s contestants was evicted from the jungle during last night’s I’m A Celeb, with former MAFS star Samantha Moitzi sent packing.

Her time in the jungle was in support of the Butterfly Foundation.

“They provide support for eating disorders and body image issues because over 1.1 million Australians are living with an eating disorder. Less than a third of those receive treatment or support, me being one of them,” she said.

Last week, Aussie TV legend Sigrid Thornton was the latest celeb to join the show this season – an unexpected move for an actress who until now has never appeared in a single reality show during her 40-year career.

“I felt like if I was going to say yes to a challenge like this, then this was the time for me. I mean, I’ve never done reality television; I’ve never done anything remotely like this,” she told news.com.au before she entered the jungle.

“But I don’t hold any particular judgement around it; I’ve removed all potential judgement because I don’t know what it’s going to be. All I know is that it will be extraordinary, exciting, unexpected, and I hope a little bit wonderful.”

I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! airs Sundays at 7pm, and Monday – Thursday at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.
