Chris Evans secretly dating young actress ‘for over a year’

Captain America himself has reportedly been in a secret relationship with a fellow movie star 16 years his junior for over a year now.

It looks like Chris Evans has a new lady in his life.

The Captain America star, 41, has been dating Portuguese actress Alba Baptista “for over a year and it’s serious,” a source told People on Friday.

“They are in love and Chris has never been happier,” the insider added. “His family and friends all adore her.”

Reps for Evans and Baptista did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Baptista, 25 — best known for starring in this year’s film Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris — speaks five languages and is the daughter of an engineer and a translator, per People, and has provided “an extensive amount of humanitarian work” to an orphanage in Cambodia.

She also has a starring role in the Netflix series Warrior Nun, which first premiered in 2020 and marked her debut English-speaking role.

The pair have yet to go public with their romance, but fans first began connecting the dots when Evans shared an Instagram post for Halloween of two pumpkins, which looked identical to ones Baptista shared temporarily on her page.

Alba is rumoured to be Chris Evans' girlfriend of one year.

The report about Evans’ new romance comes just days after he was named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive.”

In an accompanying interview, the actor explained how he has become a better romantic partner with age.

“You spend a lot of time learning what’s been helpful and what hasn’t been,” he told People.

“We all have patterns, hang-ups or baggage that repeat and echo, so I’ve really been able to kind of identify where I need improvement and what works.”

Evans also said that he has learned apologies are necessary for maintaining a healthy relationship.

“I also really see the value and strength behind saying, ‘I’m sorry,’” he elaborated.

“If you’re able in those vulnerable moments to stay calm and listen, and say you’re sorry even if you don’t think you’ve done anything wrong because it’s not from your perspective it’s from the other person’s, I think that opens up a door in a very healthy way.”

Evans’ famous exes include Jenny Slate, Minka Kelly and Jessica Biel.
