The 27-year-old actor posted a pic of her fresh tresses on Instagram, leaving her 3 million followers to weigh in on the radical colour.

After posting the salon selfie on social media, the recently single star stepped out to run errands in Los Angeles, debuting her wild hair for all to see.

She isn’t the first celebrity to go green. Reality TV star Kylie Jenner did it last May, while Vanessa Hudgens tried out teal dip-dyed extensions at Coachella.

The bold new ‘do comes after Duff enjoyed a beachside getaway with her 23-month-old son Luca and a few of her closest pals. She shared a bikini-clad selfie with fans while on vacation, captioning the pic: “Hey #moms #westillgotit #loveyourbod.”

The Lizzie McGuire actor split from her husband of five years Mike Comrie last year.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine recently, she blamed the marriage breakdown on the fact they weren’t suited for each other.

“It wasn’t working well enough to stay together, but there was still a lot of love involved,” she said.

“It was just a slow set-in of us not being the match that we used to be. I’m lucky for the person he is and I am, and how we decided to handle this.”
