Pete Davidson has quietly checked into rehab after a secret romance and break-up with The Bachelor alum Maria Georgas. A source exclusively told The U.S. Sun that the troubled Saturday Night Live alum, 31, is now in treatment for the second time this year, amid his longtime struggles with mental health.
“He checked into rehab in Florida fairly recently,” the insider said of Pete. “He flew in on a private jet.”
“He’s in pretty bad shape this time around,” the insider added. “He’s not in a good place.”
The insider claimed the comedian’s treatment check-in was very recent.
He made a cameo on his alma mater Saturday Night Live on November 2, and was previously seen at The Room premiere in LA with friend Machine Gun Kelly on October 24.
He was spotted by locals at a restaurant in Kingsport, Tennessee, on November 5, but has been laying low ever since - even on his 31st birthday last week.
Pete’s latest rehab stint comes after a secret romance with The Bachelor star Maria Georgas, who starred on Joey Graziadei’s season last year.
“He ended a fling with Maria just before he checked in,” the insider said.
The pair had only been dating “for a couple of months.”
Though fans may be shocked by the relationship, the former couple seemed to be hiding in plain sight.
Maria, 30, has chimed in on Pete’s sister Casey Davidson’s Instagram multiple times, and Casey liked the reality star’s comments.
The U.S. Sun reached out to reps for Pete and Maria, but neither party has responded.
Pete has checked into rehab at least four times in the past, and has been open about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse.
Pete last checked into rehab in July of this year and abruptly cancelled several of his aptly named stand-up dates for his Prehab tour.
He checked out of the treatment centre just weeks after he checked in, The U.S. Sun exclusively reported.
An insider at the time called his summer stint “ a really short stay.”
Meanwhile, the insider also said that the Saturday Night Live alum had parted ways with various people in his circle.
“Everyone is done with him,” the source claimed.
“He’s he’s too much of a headache. He’s just really hard to deal with, not showing up to meetings.
“At least one project has been cancelled because of it.”
Pete has had a string of broken relationships this past year.
An insider said that Pete and his former fellow Saturday Night Live co-star and longtime friend, Colin Jost, 43, stopped speaking- with the latter wanting “nothing to do” with him.
Another insider close to the pal’s business venture of turning a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry into an entertainment venue acknowledged the pair had drifted apart.
“They’re both very busy, and don’t talk as much as they used to,” that insider claimed.
The business insider insisted that despite a rift, the big plan to turn the decommissioned ferry into an entertainment venue remains afloat.
