Stars flock to France for lavish wedding of Lionel Richie’s daughter Sofia

With a star-studded guest list and no expense spared, Lionel Richie’s daughter Sofia celebrated her wedding over the weekend in lavish style.

A-listers descended on the south of France over the weekend for the lavish wedding of Sofia Richie, daughter of singer Lionel Richie.

The 24-year-old socialite tied the knot with British record executive Elliot Grainge, 30, in Antibes on the Cote d’Azur, with her famous dad walking her down the aisle and older sister Nicole Richie gushing over the stylish newlyweds, New York Post reports.

“I love you more than anything‍️,” Nicole captioned an Instagram post which featured an intimate picture that was taken as her sister got ready to say “I do”.

The photo featured The Simple Life star, 41, crouching down in a stunning black gown to straighten the bride’s train. Sofia, chic in a custom Chanel wedding dress, looked back over her shoulder and beamed at her sibling.

The wedding took place at the ultra exclusive Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc with sweeping views over the Mediterranean.

The wedding dress featured an embellished train with white and iridescent beads, as well as her “something blue” – an “S&E” sewn into her train with the date underneath.

“We created the top of that dress and made it bridal-y,” the bride told Vogue ahead of her big day. “It is such magic. I honestly think Elliot is going to love it. He is my biggest cheerleader when it comes to anything I wear.”

She jokingly added, “If he doesn’t cry, I’ll be very sad.”

The bride also wore a custom Chanel gown to her rehearsal dinner, which took place on Friday night.

Following the ceremony, she changed into a short, white dress featuring a camellia flower on the front.

“I can dance, [and] I can move,” Sofia told the outlet of her reception dress, noting she planned to be doing a lot of dancing and eating in the outfit.

“I love it! It’s traditional Chanel. I will be eating pizza and fries in this dress. Pray for this dress. It will be my life’s mission to make sure nothing happens to it.”

As for the guests in attendance, as well as the bride’s famous dad, there was long-time bestie of Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, as well as Carter Reum, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden.

Popular TikToker, Jake Shane, along with influencer Marianna Hewitt were also in attendance.
