Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced two new Netflix series are underway, including a lifestyle show.
As part of an ongoing Netflix deal with Archewell Productions, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be already working on the unnamed non-fiction series.
The first show will be focused on Meghan, celebrating the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship.
It will be directed by Michael Steed, the man behind the Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown series, and showrunner Leah Hariton, who also made the Daytime Emmy-nominated Selena + Chef show with Selena Gomez.
The series is the latest lifestyle venture for the Duchess, weeks after she announced her new lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard: Montecito.
The second series follows the world of professional polo, exploring the world of the sport, which is known primarily for its aesthetic and social scene.
The show is expected to pull the curtain back as it captures players and what it takes to compete at the highest level.
Prince Harry has been known as a keen polo player and is often photographed playing internationally.
Both series are reportedly in early production.
Meghan and Harry have produced several projects for Netflix including the four-part docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” which followed their exit from royal life and what happened behind the palace doors.
It comes as Prince Harry revealed he has dealt with “burnout” and “pressure” during a panel discussion in the US.
The royal joined forces with former Office star Mindy Kaling as he hosted a “Beyond Burnout” session during a summit held by the life coaching app BetterUp.
The Duke of Sussex, who has served as the company’s Chief Impact Officer (CIO) since 2021, attended the San Francisco panel alongside the actress.
Prince Harry spoke about “the pressures of today’s world and modern corporate life” as he was joined by Dr Adam Grant, the company’s Chairman of the Centre for Purpose, and Kelly Jones, the Chief People Officer at Cisco.
Prince Harry, who has been open about his struggles with mental health, told a previous BetterUp discussion that he had “experienced burnout.”
And during the event — titled “Beyond Burnout: Transforming C-Level Stress Into Strength” — the Duke of Sussex discussed the “psychological toll of leading through uncertainty.”
He also shared some personal anecdotes and “forward-thinking policies” that workplaces could implement to help their staffers.
An image from the session was shared on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s, official website Sussex.com, which showed him mingling with Kaling and other attendees.
“The trio dove into the psychological toll of leading through uncertainty, sharing personal anecdotes, evidence-based practices, and forward-thinking policies aimed at helping leaders thrive amidst the pressures of today’s world and modern corporate life,” a statement on his website read.
The event centred on “courageous leadership,” and provided a helpful guide “for C-suite leaders, business executives, and HR professionals and advocates.”
Kaling also spoke at the panel, discussing how best to lead with “levity and creativity” in all aspects of life, especially motherhood.
The actress, mum to daughter Katherine, 6, and son Spencer, 3, said she’s reconsidering the “gentle parenting” approach.
Kaling was asked a series of rapid quick-fire questions by Dr Grant, who asked her if she had been rethinking anything lately.
“Gentle parenting, I am rethinking,” she responded. “It’s this thing lots of LA and NY and certain progressive cities do, and sometimes you just have to scream at your kids … so I am rethinking it!”
The Duke of Sussex, for his part, took up his role at BetterUp in March 2021.
The Sussexes have long been open about the importance of mental health and how to get help when needed.
The couple also owns three emotional support dogs, Harry revealed on World Mental Health Day in October 2022.
