The Prince and Princess of Wales have celebrated Father’s Day in the United Kingdom with adorable photos and a tender message.
On Instagram, the Waleses posted two photos of Prince William with his three children.
The first colour photo shows the future king standing in a garden with his arms around Charlotte, Louis and George.
In the second black and white photo, all four are lying in a flower bed having a hug.
Everyone is laughing and Princess Charlotte is looking at the camera.
The accompanying message says, “Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L” with a sparkly heart emoji.
It’s not known who took the photo but it could be Princess Catherine, as she is not in it.
‘PRINCE DADDY’ IN UNIFORM
It comes as Prince William sent social media into a frenzy after the heir to the throne stepped out in ceremonial gear at the Trooping the Colour.
And it was all about the hat!
As the honorary Colonel of the Welsh Guards, Prince William sported the red uniform with a leek symbol on the neckline. But it was his very large bearskin hat – adorned with the regiment’s white and green plume – that had royal fans aflutter.
“Prince William is just, divine. There is no other word to describe him in uniform,” one user wrote on X.
Another said: “The #PrincessofWales can do no wrong. She looks stunning as always, and Prince Daddy is looking mighty fine in uniform.”
“Take a look at Prince William. Awwww,” added another.
“Prince William’s rocking a stunning new beard! Hoping for more pics to get a better look,” said another poster on X.
Another fan wrote, “Beautiful! Princess Catherine and Princess Charlotte look beautiful in their matching colour dresses. Prince William is very dashing in his uniform.”
The 42-year-old royal appeared on horseback at this year’s Trooping the Colour, the annual celebration honouring his father, King Charles, who turns 77 this November.
The Prince of Wales was one of three members of the royal family who rode on horseback during the London parade. He was joined by his aunt Princess Anne and his uncle Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh.
Although King Charles also rode on horseback at Trooping the Colour in previous years, including his first as monarch in 2023, the King took part in this year’s event seated in a horse-drawn carriage alongside Queen Camilla.
The prince attended the celebration with his wife, Princess Catherine, and their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. They took part in the parade by riding together in a horse-drawn carriage.
Prince William opened up about the difficulties his family faced since last year’s Trooping the Colour in a November 2024 interview. Speaking on the last day of his four-day visit to Cape Town, South Africa, the royal said he’d been through a “brutal” year after both the King and Princess Catherine were diagnosed with cancer.
