Prince Harry snubbed by royal family at Festival of Remembrance

LA-based Prince Harry was snubbed by the royal family twice in a week - and it didn’t go unnoticed.

Prince Harry copped two major snubs by the royal family in a week in a sign tensions with his family have far from eased.

Last week the LA-based royal hit back at a report claiming he had turned down an invitation to King Charles 75th birthday, insisting he did not receive one.

A source close to the King told the Sunday Times that Harry and wife Meghan Markle had been invited - but Harry’s spokesperson then came out and said that was not the case.

Then on Saturday night, the royals failed to mention Harry’s role as one of the founding members of the Invictus Games during the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance.

The Duke of Sussex set up the Games with the Royal Foundation in 2014 and has been the face of it ever since.

Royals fans were quick to pick up on the omission.

“The Royal Family did their hardest to ignore all of the veterans, and Prince Harry’s work with Invictus Games 2023,” one commented on X, formerly Twitter.

“Prince Harry you will forever be famous, you did a great thing there by founding the INVICTUS GAMES! Thanks for your service,” another added.

A third wrote: “Whatever your thoughts on current Royal affairs, it was Prince Harry who founded Invictus Games, which has helped numerous wounded service people, and that should never be forgotten. Thank you.”

Princess Anne led a tribute to those who lost their lives in the Battle of the Atlantic, the longest military campaign of the Second World War.
