The singer left a Sydney McDonald’s worker “screaming” in disbelief after popping in to the fast-food joint for a late-night meal.

British music star Louis Tomlinson has been spotted partaking in a long-held Aussie tradition during his time Down Under: a late-night Macca’s run.

The former One Direction singer recently wrapped up the Australian leg of his Faith in the Future solo world tour, which saw him perform in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in late January through early February.

Two social media posts have since emerged from what appears to be the same night out in Sydney, showing Tomlinson, 32, smiling and chatting with a mystery woman at a bar in Sydney – and the pair later stopping by a local McDonald’s for a post-pub feed.

While the first video, uploaded to YouTube, was captioned simply “Louis at a bar in Sydney”, the second – which appeared to have been filmed by the McDonald’s employee who served him – was a little more dramatic.

The five-second TikTok clip, set to Adele lyrics about love “forever”, featured Tomlinson in front of the counter putting in his order, before standing next to the staffer doing a thumbs-up.

“I was like screaming,” user Devika wrote, alongside a crying face emoji.

Meanwhile, police had to be called to Qudos Bank Arena ahead of one of Tomlinson’s Sydney shows following reports of a crowd issue.

Dedicated fans had shown up well before dawn in the hopes of securing a wristband to mark their place in line when the gates opened, with TikTok footage showing a massive swarm of people camped outside at 4am.

Authorities later confirmed that one person had to be removed from the venue with a broken wrist while another two suffered heat exhaustion.

Just days earlier, fans had also been caught in a stampede over the queue for wristbands at Brisbane’s Riverstage ahead of Tomlinson’s performance, according to the Brisbane Times.

The singer is currently on a break from his tour, which resumes on March 30 in Mexico and continues across South America before heading to Europe in June.
