Liam Payne’s final Instagram posts have emerged, after the singer was found dead in Argentina.

Liam Payne’s final Instagram posts are as heartbreaking as they come.

Just months before the former One Direction star was found dead on Thursday outside a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, his Instagram took a rather sombre tone with the content he chose to share.

The singer’s final Instagram post shared in May featured a photo featuring all his One Direction bandmates, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles. The image was posted to pay tribute to American documentary filmmaker, writer and TV producer Morgan Spurlock.

“Rest in peace Morgan Spurlock it was a pleasure working with you,” Payne wrote in the caption.

Among the final posts shared were clips to promote his single Teardrops, which is a song about overcoming challenges and heartbreak.

“Teardrops are falling / Down your face again, ‘cause I / Don’t know how to love you when

I am broken too,” he sings. “Maybe your words make sense / I could be the problem, I’m so sorry / I know we could just be friends / But I don’t know when we come down from this softly.”

“Teardrops is out now,” Payne captioned one of his final posts. “This song is born from many tears, not all mine. I hope you love it like I do and not too many of you can relate.”

News outlet La Nacion was first to report the news of Payne’s death aged 31.

According to local news site, Payne was holidaying in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy when he fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur Hotel in the Palermo neighbourhood.

The singer also promoted his new single Teardrops.

The song is about overcoming heartbreak and challenges.

Head of the state emergency medical system Alberto Crescenti told local TV Payne had fallen into a courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in the Palermo neighbourhood.. It is believed the singer fell 13 or 14 metres and suffered “very serious injuries incompatible with life”.

“At 17:04, through 911, the integrated public security system, we were alerted about a person who was in an internal courtyard of the Casa Sur hotel. At 17:11, a SAME team arrived and confirmed the man’s death. We later learned that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he had injuries incompatible with life as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death. There was no possibility of resuscitation,” Crescenti said.

Payne is father to a seven-year-old son, Bear, whom he shares with singer Cheryl Cole.

He has been dating influencer Kate Cassidy since October 2022.
