Michael Klim learned of ex-wife’s engagement through Instagram

SOUNDS like relations between champion swimmer Michael Klim and ex-wife Lindy are distant — he learned of her engagement via Instagram.

CHAMPION swimmer Michael Klim has seemingly confirmed mounting speculation about his ex-wife Lindy getting engaged, letting the news slip in an interview this morning.

Talking to Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS 1065, the 39-year-old former swim star was asked how he found out about news of his ex’s engagement — news that has not been officially confirmed, but has been mentioned several times on her Instagram page in recent days.

Was there a text, Kyle asked Klim? A call to pass on the news?

“No, I found out through Instagram. Everyone’s cruising, moving along,” was Klim’s nonchalant reply.

Klim married former model, fashion maven and Balinese princess Lindy in 2006, with the pair having two children together before announcing their split in February of this year, just two months shy of their 10th wedding anniversary.

Both have moved on to new partners fairly swiftly — Lindy with British-born Adam Ellis, Michael with fashion designer Desiree Devari.

Lindy has been posting pictures from a luxury Moroccan holiday with Ellis over the past week, and it appears he popped the question during their time away, as friends and followers have flooded her page with congratulations.

“What’s that over there ... oh it’s my new future and it’s certainly looking bright!” Lindy captioned one picture, confirming in a reply to a follower that she’d soon be an ‘Ellis girl’.

Speaking to Kyle and Jackie O, Michael said he was in no great rush to get hitched to his new girlfriend, who he described as “fantastic.”

“Not at this point. Eventually I might, who knows,” he said.
