Melissa Leong has fuelled rumours she has rekindled her romance with her ex-boyfriend, Rob Mason.

Leong and Mason dated for almost two and a half years, before deciding to go their separate ways in May 2023.

Around the same time, Leong was also seen to have unfollowed Mason on Instagram.

However, it seems as though time heals all, with the pair recently sparking rumours of a reunion when Leong shared a picture of Mason’s daughter on Instagram shortly before Halloween.

In response to the rumours, the Daily Mail quizzed Leong on her romantic life and pushed the star to comment on the speculation.

Leong refused to deny the rumours and instead deflected the conversation, saying: “That’s completely off topic,” and pivoting the conversation back to her career: “I’m so focused on all the incredible projects.”

It’s been a hectic few months for Leong, who recently faced speculation that she had been axed from MasterChef, rather than choosing to leave.

Earlier this year, rumours emerged of a feud among the former cast of the show, which included the late Jock Zonfrillo.

Commenting on the alleged feud, Leong said: “This is not my first rodeo.”

“I have nothing but love and respect for not only Andy but everybody that I’ve worked with. We’re a team, we’re a family, and that’s all you need to know really.”

Meanwhile, Leong is set to swap her apron for hospital scrubs when she fronts documentary series The Hospital: In The Deep End for SBS next year. Leong will star in the three-part series alongside actor Samuel Johnson and Gardening Australia host Costa Georgiadis.

The chef has revealed she was approached by SBS to star in the series due to her mother’s experience in healthcare.

“She was nursing unit manager in the emergency department in Sutherland Hospital for about a decade, and she’s been a nurse since she was 17,” Leong said. “So to be given the opportunity to be a deeply unqualified fly on the wall, to get a feel for how much pressure the public health system is under, why would you say no to that?”
