Three years after his bitter public divorce, Marvel star Ioan Gruffudd is now engaged to Australian actress and producer, Bianca Wallace.

Marvel star Ioan Gruffudd has announced his engagement to Australian actress and producer, Bianca Wallace.

The happy couple shared the good news in a joint Instagram post over the weekend when they posted a photo of Wallace’s stunning diamond and emerald engagement ring.

“The most precious thing happened…” they captioned the pic of them embracing with the ring at the forefront.

The Fantastic Four actor, 50, first went public with his relationship with Wallace in October 2021, just 10 months after he separated from his wife of 14 years, British actress Alice Evans.

That split quickly turned messy and played out on social media, with Evans tweeting in January 2021: “Sad news. My beloved husband/soul mate of 20 years, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week.”

The former couple were together for a total of 20 years after meeting on the set of the 2000 Disney movie, 102 Dalmatians, and share two children: Ella, 14, and Elsie, 10.

“Me and our young daughters are very confused and sad. We haven’t been given a reason except that he ‘no longer loves me’. I’m so sorry,” she added.

Gruffudd officially filed for divorce two months later in March, and that October he made his relationship with Wallace Instagram-official.

“Thank you for making me smile again @iambiancawallac️e,” he wrote alongside a happy snapshot of the pair at the time.

But it hasn’t been easy for the new couple with Gruffudd and Evans involved in a legal back-and-forth over child custody, spousal support, and child support.

There have also been infidelity accusations and domestic violence claims made amid the messy split.

The actor went Instagram-official with Wallace when he shared this photo in October 2021.

In May last year, the former couple’s eldest daughter Ella filed a temporary restraining order against her father at the Los Angeles Superior Court, as well as a civil harassment protection from Wallace.

The restraining order was requested after an alleged incident at Gruffudd and Wallace’s home in LA, when the girls were in town visiting their father.

In 2022, it was the actor who filed a request for a restraining order against his estranged wife, claiming she threatened to “make false public accusations,” “sell false stories to the press” and “destroy” his career if he left her.

Gruffudd and Evans’ split played out on social media.

“Alice threatened to tell people I had abused her and our daughters,” the petition further alleged, “threatened to call the police on me if I did not comply with her demands.”

Evans denied his claims, stating at the time that she had not “hit, struck, attacked, threatened, assaulted, harassed, followed, stalked, molested, destroyed the personal property of, kept under surveillance, impersonated, blocked the movement of, annoyed by phone or electronic means by repeated contact, or disturbed the peace” of Gruffudd or Wallace.

However, in August 2022 a judge reportedly granted Gruffudd a three-year restraining order against Evans.

The former couple finalised their divorce in July 2023.
