Lana Del Rey’s fanbase are in a tizzy after the star was spotted holding hands with an unlikely new man, a US alligator tour guide with two children.

Lana Del Rey has sparked romance rumours with an unlikely suitor.

The US singer, 39, was spotted holding hands with a mystery man at Leeds Festival in the UK at the weekend, in video which was captured by a fan and posted to TikTok.

It’s since been revealed the man in the clip is Louisiana-based alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene, a father-of-two.

Del Rey, who was performing at the festival, was later seen shopping at Harrods in London with Dufrene, according to photos posted on Reddit, while another fan captured a photo of them dining at the department store.

Dufrene is a father-of-two.

It appears the duo have known each other since at least March 2019, when Del Rey shared a photo to her Facebook account alongside Dufrene after taking one of his air boat tours.

“Jeremy lemme [let me] be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours x,” Del Rey captioned the photo, which showed her steering the boat.

At the time, the Young and Beautiful singer was in Louisiana to perform at the BUKU Music + Art Project festival.

Fans of the pop star have been losing their minds over the random pairing, with thousands of commenters responding to the news on X.

“I’m sorry but this is strange. Very strange. He must be the sweetest man ever I guess,” one wrote.

“Let’s put it this way, he must have a great personality,” another added.

“If I knew this were the standard I would’ve thrown my own hat in the ring,” a third joked.

“Sick pull for buddy, respect,” another said of Dufrene.

“I have questions,” one user wrote.

In 2019, the performer dated police officer Sean Larkin, the two going on to appear at several high-profile events together before calling it quits in 2020.

While promoting her ninth album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd in 2022, Del Rey arranged for a single promotional billboard to be placed in Larkin’s hometown of Tulsa.

“There’s only one [billboard] and it’s in Tulsa,” she wrote on her private Instagram account, later adding in the comments, “It’s. Personal.”

She then briefly sparked engagement rumours with US musician Clayton Johnson, though the pair quietly went their separate ways in 2021.

While Del Rey is relatively private when it comes to her dating life, she previously opened up about what she looks for in a potential partner.

Speaking to Rolling Stone in 2014, the singer said she has “an affinity for really good, strong, self-assured people.”
