Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau confirm romance with loving photos from Tokyo

Pop superstar Katy Perry has confirmed her relationship with former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau as she revealed glimpses of their loved-up trip.

The singer, 41, took to social media to post a series of loving photos and videos of her trip to Tokyo with the former Canadian prime minister.

In one photo, the genetically blessed pair posed cheek to cheek for a picture in a Tokyo park, while another dream-like image showed them gazing at what appeared to be an illuminated art installation.

Perry also posted a video of them dining together, with Mr Trudeau, 53, lovingly watching on as the singer indulged in sushi.

“Tokyo times on tour and more,” Perry captioned the post along with a string of emojis including a love heart and a snowman.

Perry, who is in Japan as part of her Lifetimes Tour, was spotted holding hands with Trudeau last week while walking through Tokyo’s popular tourist area, Asakusa, before heading to a restaurant for dinner and a show.

Days later, an image of Perry and Trudeau on a double date with Japan’s former prime minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko Kishida, sent romance speculation into overdrive.

Mr Kishida shared a photo of the foursome to social media, where he referred to the I Kissed A Girl hitmaker as Mr Trudeau’s partner.

The Dark Horse singer and the former Canadian prime minister sparked romance rumours in July when they were seen taking a walk and having an intimate dinner in Montreal.

A few days later, Mr Trudeau was seen watching Perry perform at her Lifetimes tour stop in Montreal’s Bell Centre.

The couple were then spotted kissing passionately while spending time together on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, in October.

In October, sources told Page Six that Trudeau is “crazy” about Perry.

“He is crazy about her and thinks she is the perfect woman,” the source said. “They are simpatico on everything, including politics, kids and French food.

“They both have a sparkle for each other.”

Perry’s romance comes after her split from British actor Orlando Bloom.

In July, they confirmed in a joint statement that they had split after 10 years together.

The exes share five-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, whom they welcomed in August 2020.

Meanwhile, Mr Trudeau and his estranged wife, Sophie, announced their separation in 2023. The exes share three kids: Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.
