Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals she still has embryos frozen with ex-husband Lee Henderson

Radio star Jackie O spoke candidly about her fertility chances five years after her split from husband Lee Henderson.

Having lived her life on the airways, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is an open book.

And this morning she got extra personal while discussing her fertility on air with a fertility specialist on The Kyle & Jackie O Show.

The 48-year-old revealed that while it may be too late for her to have another child, she still has embryos on ice from when she underwent IVF with her ex-husband, Lee Henderson, to conceive their daughter, Catalina Mae, aka Kitty, now 12.

The couple are no longer together – they split in 2018 after 15 years of marriage – but they still have the embryos in a lab and are still “paying rent” to keep them frozen.

Jackie O and Lee Henderson were married for 15 years and together for 18 before splitting in 2018.

The exes share one child, a daughter named Kitty who they welcomed via IVF in 2010.

“It just feels so final to go destroy them,” she told the nurse and co-host Kyle Sandilands.

Jackie also revealed that if she wanted to use the embryos to have another child, she would need to get permission from her photographer ex as the child would be his biologically.

But that it appears Jackie has no plans to expand her brood.

“I’m happy with just having one,” she admitted to Kyle, when he asked if she wanted another.

“No, no. Too late now, I think it might be,” she said.

Jackie O would need her ex’s permission to use the embryos.

The radio star says she is happy with having only one child.

Jackie went through several rounds of IVF before falling pregnant with Kitty in 2010. And at the time, she said she and Lee had about 10 embryos frozen.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph in 2016, two years before she split with Lee, Jackie said that she wasn’t opposed to having a second child.

“I wouldn’t rule it out completely,” she told the outlet at the time. “I do have some swimmers sitting there, little bubs in tubes, that might one day see the light of day.”

“I’m still paying storage for them,” she added. “If we could magically make a three-year-old appear right now, we’d have one. But it’s the thought of going through the pregnancy and the first two years that seems so exhausting to us right now.”
