It’s over: Robert Pattinson ‘called off engagement’ to FKA Twigs

TWILIGHT star Robert Pattinson has reportedly cancelled his engagement to girlfriend FKA Twigs after the pair grew apart over the past few months.

AS vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight, Robert Pattinson was a pin-up for millions of teens around the world.

And now his legion of fans might be pleased to hear he’s back on the market, as Pattinson has split from fiancee FKA Twigs, The Sun reports.

Rob started dating the singer whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, in September 2014 and they got engaged just seven months later.

But he has called time on their romance after the pair grew apart over the past few months.

A source close to the couple said: “They were almost inseparable for their first two years together.

But in recent months they have really started to drift apart and have been spending less and less time together.

“Rob is tired of it, has called off their engagement and told friends they have split. With so much ­history between them, though, there are still strong feelings there.

“It’s a difficult situation but things have become tough between them for some time and they both know they were no longer working as a couple.”

Robert, who ended his four-year relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart in 2012, is currently filming new sci-fi adventure High Life.

And he has plenty more work to keep him busy, with three other movies in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, FKA Twigs has been in London working on her second album, having just released debut album LP1 when they met.

Speculation grew over the state of their relationship when she was seen last month without her engagement ring — just weeks after she was pictured in Ibiza with model Brieuc Breitenstein.

And Rob raised eyebrows in July when he said he was “kind of” engaged to her.

But he gave her glowing praise in the same interview, saying: “She’s super-talented and from a totally different world.”
