JENNIFER Garner is on the brink of filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, nearly two years after the Hollywood power couple announced their split.
News of Bennifer’s impending divorce was reported Friday by Us Weekly.
“No matter what happens, Ben and Jen are committed to raising their family as one unit and will continue to do so as it has worked for them,” a source told Us about the soon-to-be divorce. “They are both committed to their family.”
Garner and Affleck separated in July, 2015 after 10 years of marriage.
The couple, who met on the set of 2001’s movie Pearl Harbor, have three children, Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 4.
Affleck has moved out of their Brentwood home.
Affleck’s career has seen a rocky spell over the last several weeks.
His film Live by Night tanked at the box office and he stepped down from directing Warner Brothers’ next live-action Batman film.
However, he is appearing as the Dark Knight in the upcoming Justice League, reports have suggested he’s already tired of the cowl and wants out.
Garner and Affleck have remained amicable since their separation despite reports of Affleck dating the family’s nanny Christine Ouzounian.
In February, 2016, Garner told Vanity Fair she married the love of her life, despite him being “a complicated guy”.
“I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him,” she told the magazine.
“And I would go back and remake that decision. I ran down the beach to him, and I would again. You can’t have these three babies and so much of what we had. He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that? He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous,” she said.
“He’s just a complicated guy. I always say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it.’ But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow.”
