Jada Pinkett Smith’s former on-screen love interest has lifted the lid on his bizarre confrontation with Will Smith in the wake of the couple’s bombshell split.

Will Smith once confronted his wife’s co-star over an unplanned on-screen kiss.

Tommy Davidson shared on Wednesday’s episode of Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast that the King Richard star had a “run-in” with him after he kissed Jada Pinkett Smith during an ending scene of 1998’s Woo that he did not discuss with her prior to filming.

“He came into the trailer, and I was sitting down. He’s standing over me, and he’s like, ‘I don’t appreciate that, man. I don’t appreciate that.’ And I’m like, ‘What you talking about?’ I always know to play it off,” the comedian recalled, according to Page Six.

“I’m like, ‘What’s going on man? Tell me what’s happening.’ And since he was standing and I was sitting, I was a real nice fella. That’s about physics.”

Davidson, 59, said Smith, 55, kept telling him he did not “appreciate” what had happened while Pinkett Smith, 52, attempted to calm her husband down.

“I’m saying, ‘What’s happening, man?’ And he’s like, ‘You tell me what’s happening. Hmm? Hmm?’ And [he’s biting his lip like] he might do something,” Davidson shared.

“I did the snake and got up, and then I was like, ‘So what are you talking about, man?’”

Davidson advised the Oscar winner that they should talk someplace in private to avoid prying eyes as Smith appeared to want to “get something off” his chest.

Smith’s confrontation with Davidson came years before he famously slapped Chris Rock across the face at the 2022 Oscars for making a joke about his wife’s alopecia.

In a new interview with People published on Wednesday, the Girls Trip actress admitted she thought the incident was a “skit” and revealed she and Smith had been quietly separated for six years at that point.

“We’re still figuring it out,” she said.

“We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”
