Hilaria Baldwin snaps at husband Alec on red carpet: ‘When I’m talking, you’re not talking’

Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria were filmed bickering on the red carpet in an awkward interview that ended with her telling him to stop talking.

Hilaria Baldwin snapped at husband Alec Baldwin on the red carpet at the Planet Hollywood Times Square opening party they hosted in New York City.

The couple were doing an interview with Extra about their TLC series The Baldwins when Hilaria, 41, lashed out at Alec, 66, for talking over her.

When the interviewer asked the couple if there will be a Season 2 of the series, Alec joked, “The Hilaria Show,” as his wife explained that they’re “gonna see how it feels” to have the show “be out there.”

“It’s gonna be great. You’re a winner,” Alec told Hilaria as she was still responding to the reporter.

“Oh my God. When I’m talking, you’re not talking,” Hilaria replied. “No. When I’m talking, you’re not talking.”

“Sorry,” Alec responded, as Hilaria turned to the camera and said with a laugh, “This is why we’ll have to just cut him out of the show.”

The mum of seven continued talking to the reporter alone as the 30 Rock actor was seen walking away in the background to speak with someone off camera.

“This is a really raw show, and it’s very real and we took a lot of chances,” Hilaria told the interviewer. “We’ll see where it leads us and what it feels like to have it out there and then we’ll see if people like it. That’s another thing, too.”

Alec eventually returned to the interview and stood beside his wife as he was asked if it’s harder acting or being himself on reality TV.

“Be yourself. It’s so hard,” he admitted. “It’s because you don’t want it to be dull. If you show the way our life really is, you get it after like an hour. It’s the same thing a lot. Not just the two of us and our lives, but with the kids. We like routine. It’s good for the kids to have routine.”

“She as a mother is very good at keeping them on a routine,” Alec said about Hilaria. “So you feel the desire to make it more silly than it might be.”

Hilaria interjected to say that Alec doesn’t “make it more silly than it is.”

“I’ve tried. Oh, you didn’t get that on the show?” Alec asked.

“No,” Hilaria replied. “We just cut all that part out, when you’re trying to make it silly.”

Hilaria went on to explain that having a routine is “essential,” as Alec interrupted her again and asked her to say “essential” in Spanish.

After she did so, Hilaria told Alec, “Oh my God, you’re distracting me right now. Now you’re just doing that. Why? Why are you distracting me?” The yoga instructor has long been scrutinised for allegedly faking her accent.

“I’m sorry,” Alec said, telling Hilaria that he’s “just captivated by your beauty. You’re so beautiful.”

But Hilaria wasn’t having it. “Oh my God, stop. You’re annoying me. Stop. It’s not cute. No. He’s distracting me,” she said.

As Alec starting mouthing words to the camera, Hilaria gave him a glare and said, “I’m gonna, like, walk out of this interview right now.”

Alec then smiled and walked away in the background as Hilaria finished the interview.

The Baldwins on TLC follows the couple’s lives at home with their seven children: Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo and Maria, 4, and Ilaria, 2.

The show has also included serious segments about Alec’s Rust trial.

In the second episode, Hilaria said her husband “wanted to kill himself” the day after the October 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the Western movie.

Alec was charged with involuntary manslaughter for the tragic incident, but the case was dismissed in July 2024 on the grounds that prosecutors withheld evidence that could have been beneficial in the star’s defence.
