SALLY Obermeder has welcomed her new daughter into the world via surrogate — and just in time for Christmas.

Obermeder has been stranded in the US with her five-year-old daughter Annabelle eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new bundle of joy which was overdue.

Elyssa Rose has now made her entrance into the world and it looks like the TV presenter and her family may finally be able to return home.

It has been a two-year journey for Obermeder and her partner, Marcus, who decided to use a surrogate in the US.

Having undergone intensive treatment for breast cancer, surrogacy was the 33-year-old’s only option to have more children.

She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of life-threatening breast cancer when she was 41 weeks’ pregnant in 2011.

Obermeder began eight months of intensive chemotherapy when her first daughter, who was conceived with the help of IVF, was just 10 days old.

She was told she was cleared of the disease in 2012.

But the media personality was told by doctors that trying to get pregnant again was far too dangerous as it could bring on a return of the cancer.

Obermeder has been documenting her surrogacy journey on Instagram, recently revealing how the kindness of strangers helped her homesick daughter who was missing Australia.
