North West has received a standing ovation after performing an iconic Disney song at the famed Hollywood Bowl.
The 10-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West scored the coveted honour of singing Simba’s vocals for a performance of I Just Can’t Wait To Be King as part of the 30th anniversary The Lion King concert special.
North was joined by illustrious The Lion King alumni for the televised special, which will later hit streaming on Disney+, including Nathan Lane, Billy Eichner, Jeremy Irons and Jason Weaver, as well as EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson.
Her famous parents were in the audience for the show, with rapper West seen filming his young daughter onstage, while Kardashian shared videos to Instagram of herself singing along.
Media outlets report North received a standing ovation at the end of the song, which was co-written by Sir Elton John for the beloved 1994 animated classic.
Many took to X to congratulate North for her performance.
“I’m just gonna say it looks like she’s having fun,” one user wrote.
Another said, “Great for her she’s a kid having fun.”
While a third wrote, “Letting them grow into their own! Wonderful.”
Others, however, expressed sympathy for non-famous children who could’ve been given the opportunity.
“I feel bad for the kids who could’ve nailed this,” one said.
“Nepotism is literally the best thing to be born with,” another wrote.
“So many talented kids out there that aren’t celebrity kids,” a third said.
North, who is the eldest of West and Kardashian’s four children, is firmly following in her father’s footsteps.
In March, she announced she was set to release her debut album, Elementary School Dropout, which is a nod to West’s celebrated 2004 debut The College Dropout.
