Missy Higgins welcomes new son Samuel Arrow Lee into the world

THE much-loved Australian chart topper has just used Instagram to introduce her first child to the world.

MISSY Higgins has given birth to her first child.

The musician posted a photo of her new son on her Instagram page.

“Our little boy Samuel Arrow Lee arrived yesterday. Not sure how we managed it but he seems perfect. And we’re besotted! Let the adventures begin ...”

Higgins and fiance Dan Lee revealed they were starting a family last year.

A heavily pregnant Higgins toured her latest album, an album and book called Oz, around Australia ending at home in Melbourne in late October.

The singer/songwriter plans to take a long break this year.

Last year was the 10th anniversary of her breakthrough album The Sound of White, which went nine times platinum. The follow-ups On a Clear Night and The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle also made No.1, with Oz peaking at No.3 in September.
