Billy Ray Cyrus’ son calls his dad ‘evil, washed-up’ in extraordinary spray

Billy Ray Cyrus’ son unleashed on his father in an extraordinary spray, admitting he doesn’t care if they “ever speak again”.

Talk about an achy breaky heart.

Billy Ray Cyrus’ son, Trace Cyrus, attacked his country music star father in several scathing posts shared to Instagram on Tuesday.

Trace, 36, slammed Billy Ray as “washed-up” and “pathetic” in the blistering online rant. He also denounced the 63-year-old musician for not attending his grandmother’s funeral back in 2020.

“This man is so hungry for fame it’s pathetic,” Billy Ray’s son began, per the New York Post.

“He really flew to Italy for a fashion show but wouldn’t come to LA for Mammie’s funeral while he was still married to my [mum],” Trace, who is also a musician, alleged. “Even after his daughter got him a 60k private jet like he demanded then he still didn’t come even after the plane was paid for.”

Loretta Finley, Tish Cyrus’ mother, passed away roughly two years before Tish and Billy Ray divorced in April 2022.

Trace’s tirade against his father didn’t end there.

“You’re the lamest man to ever walk planet earth,” Miley Cyrus’ brother continued. “Honestly embarrassed to ever have considered you my idol.”

“The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode,” he added. “I refuse to be a washed up, delusional, evil person when I’m old like you.”

Trace ended his diatribe by telling Billy Ray to “get right with God.”

“Christ is King. Get right with God,” he concluded the post. “You need it.”

Trace targeted the Busy Man singer further in his Instagram Stories.

“Also why does he think that homeless hairstyle looks good?” he wrote. “So weird.”

Trace continued to diss his dad after someone commented that his post “seems like a cry for help from a son that desperately needs attention from his father.”

“No I’m past the point of even caring if I ever speak to him again,” the former Metro Station guitarist responded. “I’ve surpassed him in every metric as a man on this planet.”

“There’s nothing left to learn from him except his mistakes,” Trace concluded. “I had hope at one point but I’m convinced he’s finally a lost cause.”

Billy Ray adopted Trace and Brandi, 38, when he married Tish in 1993. The former couple welcomed Miley, 32, in 1992, followed by the Wrecking Ball superstar’s siblings: Braison, 31, and Noah, 25.

Trace previously lashed out at his famous father in January after Billy Ray performed at President Donald Trump’s second inauguration.

“It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years, but you’ve pushed all of us away.”

Trace’s siblings have since reunited with Billy Ray, and Miley even opened up about her relationship with her dad in a rare statement last month.

Billy Ray has not responded to his son’s attack as he’s celebrating his new girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley’s 60th birthday. Posting a tribute via Instagram on Tuesday, June 10, the star called Hurley the “love of my life.”

The Post reached out to Billy Ray for comment.
