‘Are you for real?’: Internet up in arms over Gwyneth Paltrow’s strange kitchen act

Gwyneth Paltrow has once again completely baffled the internet in a new viral cooking clip, with some calling it “unacceptable”.

Gwyneth Paltrow is back at it, shocking the internet once more.

This time it’s not about vagina-scented candles, jade eggs, or forgetting she was in Spider-Man. She’s being dragged for her latest “unacceptable” kitchen move.

The Goop queen recently posted a video to Instagram showing off a lavish lobster breakfast she cooked for husband Brad Falchuk.

But while she was living her best bougie chef life, fans zeroed in on one particularly eyebrow-raising move.

In the clip, the 52-year-old is seen cracking eggs into a strainer and then, with shocking casualness, appears to let the egg whites just spill onto the floor before carrying on like nothing happened.

In the caption, she called it a “paleo lobster benedict for a Hamptons-inspired #boyfriendbreakfast this morning,” with Phoenix’s ‘Girlfriend’ blasting in the background.

Some followers were impressed that she even cooks at all.

”Even though you’re a multi-millionaire celeb, you still do your own foraging and cooking, that’s so great,”️ one fan gushed.

”I love the special breakfasts you make. My favourite meal of the day!!” another chimed in.

But plenty were completely weirded out by the eggwhite floor dump.

“Did I just see Gwyneth empty the remnants of the egg whites onto the floor? Tell me I didn’t just see that,” one asked.

“Totally pour my egg whites on the floor too,” someone snarked.

Another questioned: “Awesome, but did you just throw the leftover egg white on the floor?”

Some theorised she probably had help at the ready.

“She may have a servant on standby for clean-up,” one wrote.

Others tried to give her the benefit of the doubt.

“I saw it too, maybe there’s a small bin underneath,” someone guessed.

Even with the hidden bin, the wastage had people infuriated.

One comment read: “Discarding egg whites in the waste bin. Every chef rolling their eyes. Are you for real??”

She met the recipient of the viral breakfast, her husband Brad Falchuk, on the set of Glee in 2010.

They kept things under wraps for years before tying the knot in 2018.

Brad, behind hits like Glee and American Horror Story, doesn’t share any kids with Gwyneth.

But Brad is a stepdad to Apple and Moses, her kids with Chris Martin. And, she’s stepmum to his kids Isabella and Brody from his previous marriage Suzanne Bukinik.

Egg-white gate isn’t her first headline-grabbing kitchen post lately.

Last month, she posted herself cooking topless at the stove, with her daughter Apple cheekily calling her out in the comments.

“Did I steal your shirt by accident or …”

She also filmed herself tearing up over onions, while confessing what makes her cry.

The star also recently admitted that after years of strict paleo eating, she’s had enough.

She’s getting back on carbs.

“I’m getting back into eating sourdough bread, cheese — there, I said it — [and] a little pasta,” she said.
