Bridgerton star Florence Hunt has joined the cast of new BINGE original TV series, Mix Tape.
The teenager has come on board alongside Australian Teresa Palmer and Brit Jim Sturgess just over a month after filming began in Sydney.
The production has now moved to Dublin, where Hunt has begun shooting her scenes.
“I knew Mix Tape was going to be special the moment I got the script for the audition,” Hunt, 17, told Confidential.
“I fell in love with the character and the whole show and what everyone has been able to create has been very special.
“It’s been a dream to work with such amazing cast and crew in Dublin too.”
Hunt is globally famous for playing the eighth Bridgerton child, Hyacinth, in the period romance.
Mix Tape is a complete change for the rising star. It is a small-screen adaptation from the critically acclaimed novel by Jane Sanderson.
Palmer plays the character of Alison while Sturgess is Daniel in the story about the couple’s relationship as teenagers in Sheffield in the UK through to modern day where the pair are living on opposite sides of the world.
Hunt and newcomer Rory Walton-Smith play younger versions of Alison and Daniel.
The story sees the pair reconnect over a song from their shared past and explore their burning curiosity to understand if this is the love, and life, they were meant to have.
“Who doesn’t love a good romance?” Palmer has previously said of the show.
“This one just jumped off the page with that electrifying feeling of first love, coupled with a nostalgic trip to the late ’80s and dealing with the complexities that comes with being an adult.
“Writer Jo Spain has done a brilliant job adapting Jane Sanderson’s book and it’s been wonderful to work with Jim, Ben, Jacqueline, Julia and Chika. I can’t wait for people to see it.”
Ben Lawson, Jacqueline McKenzie, Chika Ikogwe and Julia Savage are also in the cast.
