Singing sensation named GQ Australia’s Man of the Year

Less than a month after receiving his first ever Grammy nominations, this Aussie’s dream run has continued with another huge honour.

Some of the world’s most talked about stars gathered in Sydney on Wednesday night for the GQ Men of the Year Awards in association with BOSS.

The event, held at Bondi Pavillion, boasted a guest list that included Troye Sivan, Ross Lynch, Robert Irwin, Willow Smith, Dylan Alcott, Nathan Cleary and American actress Riley Keough (who is Elvis Presley’s granddaughter).

15 awards were handed out during the black-tie ceremony, but the night belonged to 28-year-old Sivan who was crowned GQ’s Man of the Year for 2023.

“No one has had a bigger year than Aussie sensation Troye Sivan,” GQ Australia editor in chief Jake Millar told news.com.au.

“Not only did he release his acclaimed third album, which won four ARIA Awards and received two Grammy nominations, but he has appeared on screen, on the fashion runway, and even found time to release his own successful lifestyle brand (Tsu Lange Yor).

“It’s why Sivan is not simply one of the country’s most accomplished creatives but is a truly deserving winner of our 2023 GQ Man of the Year.”

FYI - if you’re in Sydney and you want to buy some of Sivan’s Tsu Lange Yor products, there’s a pop-up at Chinatown Country Club (222 Clarence Street) from Thursday December 7 until Sunday December 10.
