Can Sonia Kruger take home back-to-back Gold Logies? She has some tough competition after a beloved newcomer is nominated in this year’s coveted category.

Surprise Gold Logie winner announced

The nominations are officially in for the 2024 Logies.

The 64th TV Week Logie Awards is set to take place at The Star in Sydney on Sunday, August 18 with Australia’s biggest stars vying for the coveted 23 awards in their respective categories.

The full list of nominees were announced on Sunday afternoon at a media call at a private residence in Sydney’s plush Elizabeth Bay, which was attended by the likes of Andy Lee, Julia Morris, Larry Emdur, Sonia Kruger and Tony Armstrong.

After making his television debut as host this year on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!, Robert Irwin, 20, has been named as a Gold Logie nominee along with last year’s winner, Sonia Kruger.

The nomination come afters Sam Pang was announced as host again for the second year running after wowing the audience with his jokes at last year’s ceremony.

“Hosting the Logies last year was an amazing experience and I’m thrilled to return in 2024,” the comedian said in a Seven announcement.

“Adding to the excitement Seven have also given me the green light to try new things this year so I’m really looking forward to displaying my under-appreciated and severely undeveloped song and dance skills.”

TV Week Editorial Director Amber Giles said: “As always, this is an exciting list of nominees for the TV WEEK Logie Awards with some of Australia’s best talent and shows up for awards. With the nominations announced, it’s now over to the public to have their say. The public can vote on more categories than ever before, so if you are passionate about TV and want to see your favourite stars and shows shine, then get voting!”

Voting opens for all awards from 6.00pm AEST tonight and remain open until 7pm AEST Saturday, August 17. To vote, visit tvweeklogies.com.au.

The TV WEEK Logie Awards will be broadcast exclusively on Seven and 7plus on Sunday, August 18.
