NICOLE Kidman knows how to work a red carpet ... even if she’s the plus-one.
The Oscar-winner turned heads at the American Music Awards, which she attended with her husband, Australian country star Keith Urban.
The couple looked loved up at the celeb-studded event, held in Los Angeles.
Kidman watched on as Urban collected three fan-voted awards — favourite country male artist, favourite country album for Ripcord, and favourite country song for Blue Ain’t Your Colour.
Selena Gomez, meanwhile, indulged in a bit of revenge dressing.
She is back dating her bad boy ex Justin Bieber after her very public split from The Weeknd, so it’s fitting that Gomez has a new image.
The Good for You singer showed off new peroxide blonde hair on the red carpet.
Lady Gaga played via video link from Washington (where she is on tour) and was named favourite female artist, beating Rihanna and Alessia Cara.
Christina Aguilera paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston, singing songs from The Bodyguard soundtrack (that album won Houston eight AMAs in 1994) but raised eyebrows with some off-key singing.
Bruno Mars won artist of the year, while Imagine Dragons were voted favourite group.
Other winners included DJ Khaled, whose collaboration with Justin Bieber, I’m the One, was named favourite rap/hip hop song, and former One Direction member Niall Horan who was awarded new artist of the year.
Linkin Park were named favourite alternative rock artist, while Shawn Mendes took out favourite adult contemporary act.
Pink, DJ Khaled, Niall Horan, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, and Ashlee Simpson and her whole family walked the ruby rug at the Microsoft Centre.
The AMAs are dubbed as the world’s “biggest fan-voted awards show”.
