Alice Evans slams Ioan Gruffudd after abandoning family for ‘babe half his age’

Ioan Gruffudd’s estranged wife has launched another blistering attack on the star, laying details of their split bare in excruciating detail.

Ioan Gruffudd’s estranged wife Alice Evans has blasted the actor for abandoning his family for a “babe half his age”.

She said she had been left to “pick up the pieces” of her life after their separation.

Ioan, 48, went public with his new 29-year-old girlfriend Bianca Wallace this week after leaving his wife of 14 years in March, reports The Sun.

In a series of tweets yesterday, Alice — mum to the actor’s daughters Ella, 12, and Elsie, eight — said Ioan unblocked her on Instagram minutes before he posted a picture of his new girlfriend.

She wrote: “THAT is what keeps coming back to me. He knows Ella follows him on Instagram.

“He unblocked me just a few minutes before posting it. I think he’d gotten to the loved-up point when he just didn’t care.

“It was a ‘Bianca for President’ moment and f*** what the offspring thinks.”

Another tweet said: “My heart went cold when I realised how meticulously planned it had been.

“Silly thing is, when I saw he’d unblocked me I had a moment of hope that perhaps he was ready to talk to me again. How wrong!”

And she replied to comments defending Ioan, tweeting: “He wasn’t in pain. For God’s sake. He was fine (when he was here, which was about three months a year.) Then his d*** got stuck inside a babe half his age. And that’s when he started treating me like s*** and making up stories.”

She added: “We haven’t even started mediating. It’s insanity … The kids haven’t even been told he’s not coming back. His toothbrush is still next to the sink! I feel like I’m hallucinating.”

British-American actress Alice, 50, met Ioan — star of British thriller Liar — when they were filming 102 Dalmatians in 2000. They married on a beach in Mexico in 2007.

She frequently posts about the breakdown of her relationship on Twitter and in August last year wrote: “Help. He’s told us he’s leaving us. I don’t know what to do,” after the pair had an argument that was “seemingly about nothing”.

Writing in the Daily Mail yesterday, she recalled the tweet and said: “His reaction was instant. (He read all my tweets, because he said he ‘needed to keep an eye on me.’)

“He grabbed my computer and deleted my tweet. He was raging at me. Screaming at the top of his voice. ‘How dare you?’ His eyes were wide and white — it was terrifying.”

She added: “And then he picked up the phone, called his parents and began to cry. I had no idea what he was saying as he communicates in Welsh with his parents but, well, obviously, it was bad. A line had been crossed.”

Alice claimed: “The next day he lawyered up,” and she feared she could lose custody of her children. She said: “Now I am heartbroken. I feel dead. He’s broken my heart twice. The first time when he told me he no longer loved me and the second time this week when I found out he had another woman. I have not heard a word from him since news of his relationship broke.

“All of a sudden I’m on my own, but I’m pretty resilient. I just wish he had told me the truth much sooner. I’m a problem solver, a realist and a pragmatist.”

Alice said she first noticed a strain in the relationship during lockdown, when Ioan was in Australia filming forensic crime drama Harrow — in which Bianca was an extra.

She wrote in the Daily Mail: “I kept bringing up him returning from Australia before planes stopped flying, but the panic I expected to see in him was not apparent. This is a man who panics about everything but he kept saying: ‘At the end of the day what’s it going to be? Two months? Three months? And it is paradise down here!’

“I was gobsmacked! He hadn’t seen me or his children for seven months (minus a week at Christmas) and now he was all gung-ho about extending that to a year.”

Alice claims she only found out about Ioan’s new partner when he posted the beaming Instagram photo on Wednesday.

She said: “I won’t be growing old with Ioan — he loves someone else. I just wish he’d been a bit more honest about it. It wouldn’t have saved our marriage, but it might have saved me an awful lot of pain.”
