THE South West Queensland schools that are booming have been revealed.

An analysis of federal government data has revealed the South West Queensland region schools where student numbers have risen the most in the past five years.

Between 2013 and 2018 enrolment at Brigalow State School has increased by 372.7 per cent, faster than any other school in the region.

The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority figures are the most up to date enrolment numbers that include all state and private schools nationally.

According to the latest public data that includes public and private schools, student numbers have grown from 11 to 52, the fastest growth in the region.

The second fastest growing school was Hannaford State School, where the student body increased by 130.0 between 2013 and 2018. Enrolment numbers grew from 10 in 2013 to 23 in 2018.

Over those five years Warra State School had the third biggest enrolment boom in the area 6 more students at the school in 2018 than in 2013 - a 120.0 per cent increase.

  • Hannaford State School: 130.0 per cent change

  • Jondaryan State School: 62.5 per cent change
  • Chinchilla Christian College: 50.0 per cent change
  • Eromanga State School: 50.0 per cent change
  • Quilpie State College: 38.3 per cent change
  • Westmar State School: 36.7 per cent change
  • Chinchilla State High School: 34.6 per cent change
  • Yelarbon State School: 32.3 per cent change
