New CEO for YellowBridge

An exciting new leadership prospect thrust YellowBridge’s Adrian Bonica into the top position last week, and he now prepares to continue to turn his business into a powerhouse for good.

Mr Bonica made the transition from CFO to CEO last week and described the move as a “whirlwind”.

“It’s been a big step up and a big learning curve,” he said.

“It’s still only week two so I’m still just finding my feet but it’s been a bit of a whirlwind.

“It’s been exciting too.”

As CFO at YellowBridge, Mr Bonica played a huge role in establishing their new hub on Ruthven Street, a development he described as a “career highlight”.

“That was a three year journey for us as a company to put this building together and get all of our teams who were located separately into the one place so that we can be one team and start achieving our goals together,” he said.

Under the leadership of former CEO Penny Hamilton, who announced her retirement from the role this month, YellowBridge was transformed into a $12.1 million service organisation with 133 staff who assist more than 6000 people every year.

Mr Bonica wants to keep those enormous achievements and momentum going, while also introducing new measures to expand their reach as a business.

“My short term goals are to keep the current momentum, and do great things in the community,” he said.

“I want to continue the great work we do, providing the great service to the people, and being a great employer of people in the community.

“Longer term, I can see there are a few areas where people are still falling through the gaps, especially in our aged care area and youth homelessness sector.

“I’d really like to focus on addressing some of those issues.”
