A collection of Toowoomba businesses is banding together for Movemeber to show support for their fellow men.
Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.
This year Matt Bohm of Bohm Industries co-ordinated six other businesses to take part and nine people are officially working together as a team.
The businesses taking part are Little Pig Consulting, Garden City Constructions, ArcPoint Industries, Matt Edwards Photography, R & O Communications and Harrison Infrastructure Group.
The goal is to raise $2000.
This is the third year Mr Bohm has taken part in Movember and said it was an event close to his heart.
“Movember is extremely important to myself due to someone very close to me being diagnosed with cancer recently, which is the driving force behind taking part,” he said.
“Previous Movember years we have had great support but we wanted to up the stakes this year and thought what better way than to involve other like-minded businesses who are as passionate as we are.
“It is a very worthy cause. I ask people to please dig deep to improve our future and the future generations to come.”
