YOUNG Toowoomba businessmen Kenneth Wagner and Michael Hay have sold popular CBD bar The Office

After almost one year in operation, the men's time "steering" the Duggan St hang-out has come to an end.

Co-owner Michael Hay posted about the sale on his Facebook on Friday afternoon.

He wrote: "Well it has been a hell of a journey for Kenneth and I but our time steering The Office has come to end."

"Words can't describe the gratitude we have for the amazing team we had with us along the way and our unbelievable customers and mates that made the good times so good."

The bar quickly became a go-to spot in Toowoomba and is packed most nights of the year with evolving menus and live music from Thursday nights.

The two-storey establishment  features the activation of an alleyway and terrace views.

The contemporary bar was aimed at attracting the lucrative inner city after-work crowd.

Construction started on the game-changing development around May last year.

After two successful pre-openings, The Office held a grand opening on Australia Day this year.

Mr Wagner said the idea for the name came while the two entrepreneurs were drinking at a bar.

"One day I received a call asking where I was and my response was I was at The Office," he said.

The bar has just launched a new menu.
