A TOP-performing carvery and sandwich franchise in one of Toowoomba's busiest food courts has hit the market.
Bucking Bull in Grand Central, which was the franchise's second best-selling store across Australia last month, was listed for sale this week by Proactive Business Sales.
Lead agent Paul Price said the business was owned by Paul and Raelene Wilks, who wanted to move on after several years working in the food court.
"Their store was the number one store in the country last month. The Muffin Break in the same food court is also a top performer in its group, so it's a solid location," he said.
"The sale is the business and everything that's there. Pretty much walk-in, walk out there.
"The sale price is essentially the balance of the lease and franchise agreement."
The business also includes 11 staff members, some who have years of experience at the carvery.
Mr Wilks worked his way up the food chain from a junior worker to franchise owner at Super Rooster in Wilsonton over 20 years.
He said after spending his entire adult life in the food industry, it was time for a change.
"I turn 40 soon and I am starting to think about the rest of my life," he said.
"Our store was number two for Australia, number one for east coast.
"Because we're a traditional food style brand, it resonates with the Toowoomba clientele. They still like their classic meals.
"I want to say a big thanks to everyone who have supported us - it's been much appreciated."
