THERE has been a flurry in leasing activity across Toowoomba, according to one real estate agent.
Drew Camm of DC Commercial said there had been a dramatic and positive uplift in businesses moving into properties across Toowoomba.
Mr Camm said industrial, office and retail spaces were in hot demand, with tenants securing the spaces after a very short time period.
"A very positive vibe is occurring, and we are happily remarkably busy," he said.
"DC Commercial is now at the stage of fielding calls from owners of commercial properties asking if we are able to assist in leasing their premises.
"In some cases we have leased the properties before we have had a chance to list it."
Examples include 56 Canning St in Drayton, which recently saw a tenant sign a three-year lease withing a week of negotiations occurring.
Multiple tenancies at the old butter factory in Brook St have also seen new businesses arrive, while a six year lease was just completed on 444 Ruthven St in the CBD.
Mr Camm said they were a handful of the numerous properties that had been leased in recent weeks.
"Owning a small business myself and understanding the impact and thought processes that many businesses are facing, it is great to see so many business continue to move forward in these challenging times," he said.
"It reemphasises the resilience of Toowoomba and shows that as a community we support our locals."
