The man behind one of Australia’s most iconic radio campaigns is coming to Toowoomba this week.
National Tiles founder Frank Walker is the main guest at the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce’s business breakfast on Thursday morning.
Mr Walker, who has been at the helm of the market leader in wall and floor tiles since 1979, is also famously known for his catchphrase “hellooooo – Frank Walker from National Tiles” that has been a staple of radio ads across Australia for years.
The ads achieved further notoriety after Brisbane DJs Mashd N Kutcher (who are coincidentally playing the Festival of Food and Wine this year in Toowoomba) released a viral remix featuring Mr Walker’s catchphrase in 2018.
Mr Walker is a former tradie and councillor and is also well-known for his philanthropy.
“Backed by over 45 years of experience, National Tiles has the international market knowledge, attention to detail and supply chain know-how to meet their clients’ expectations, every time,” the Toowoomba Chamber said.
“Today with over 2000 competitors across Australia, National Tiles is the largest family-owned tile company in the nation employing circa 500 people in approximately 50 locations across five states.”
The breakfast will be held at Toowoomba Oaks on Thursday August 29 from 6.45am.
