Three brothers have taken over a Toowoomba cafe and are using their combined experience to run a successful business.
Yubee Khatri, Pradip Bista and Suman Khatri purchased Aromas Cafe early last year before COVID restrictions came into effect and were forced to close for months.
While it wasn’t an ideal start to owning a business, the brothers remained positive when reopening in October.
The trio are well qualified to own and operate their own hospitality business with Suman and Pradip both having more than 11 years’ experience working as chefs in Toowoomba.
Yubee brought a small farm in Helidon 12 years ago and where he grows a range of fruits and vegetables.
He sells his produce at the Cobb and Co Markets as well as at Gold Coast markets.
Yubee is passionate about supporting local said that was what Aromas was all about.
“We have most of our fresh produce, meat and eggs from local farmers and suppliers,” he said.
“We are trying to support local as much as possible.
“We work to serve the best food in Toowoomba with local produce.”
Aromas Cafe at High Street Plaza is an independent cafe, which means while it serves the Aromas brand coffee, the business can create its own menu.
“Our cafe runs on love, laughter, good food and coffee,” Yubee said.
“Besides our usual menu we have special meals every week, particularly on Saturday.
“The menu is developed by our chefs and because we are independent there are no boundaries.”
Aromas Café is open Sunday to Tuesday 6am to 3pm and Wednesday to Saturday from 6am to 9pm.
