Special Report: Koonenberry Gold’s drill program at the Sunnyside prospect within the Enmore project in northeast NSW is now five for five, returning another broad gold intercept, further outlining its “remarkable” continuity of mineralisation.

The fifth diamond hole at the prospect returned an intersection of 150m grading 0.71g/t gold from a down-hole depth of 230m, including 10.4m at 2.36g/t from 360m, and extending mineralisation by ~60m from the fourth hole on this section.

It follows previous holes which returned gold mineralisation hits, topping up at 172.9m at 2.07g/t gold from 171m including 5m at 11.09g/t gold from 213m in 25ENDD002. The latest result confirms the continuity and increasing confidence in Sunnyside’s potential for bulk tonnage.

Watch: Why Koonenberry caught Guy's eye

Koonenberry Gold (ASX:KNB) adds that gold mineralisation remains open up-dip and at depth as well as along strike in the preferred granite host rock.

Managing director Dan Power said the intersection of mineralisation at the fifth well with width similar to that in the fourth hole indicates “a remarkable continuity of mineralisation and a growing confidence in what is shaping up to be a big system with the potential for bulk tonnage and good grades”.

Next steps

Results from the sixth hole, which intersected visible gold, is expected in mid-late June. Assays from the remaining four holes in the now-completed drill program are expected early in Q3 2025.

Koonenberry will use results from this maiden program to design follow-up drilling to test the continuity of mineralisation at Sunnyside in multiple directions, including along the 150m by 550m prospective structural corridor.

Data from the ongoing soil program will also be used to plan drilling at other prospects in the district.

“Koonenberry Gold is extremely encouraged by the success of its first drill program at Enmore and the developing discovery story. We are planning a further +10,000m of drilling, which is fully funded by our $10.35M cash position following our recent share placement,” Power added.
