De Luca (illustrated) is currently enjoying the Spring skiing season at the Steamboat ski fields in Colorado with wife Alesia for their 30th wedding anniversary.

He will be back in town in 10 days time to oversee a raft of projects and prepare to officially celebrate in May the 30th anniversary of De Luca Corporation (which was really last year but let’s not get in the way of a big party).

“We were very busy over the last few months so it’s great to get away,” De Luca says.

While he’s away he is keeping tabs on a range of construction and development projects.

The construction arm of the business is currently working on Toyota’s 31,000 sqm new parts distribution warehouse at Crestmead which is being developed by Goodman.

The company has also started the redevelopment with Dexus of two Glasshouse Mountains service centres north of Brisbane and the Village Heart project at Carseldine.

“We’ve been very active. With interest rates settling the market is starting to turn we are seeing more development,” De Luca says.

“Our construction arm does what it does and most of our work is industrial, Large Format Retail. fuel and fast food and that market has been consistent over the last couple of years.”
