That's all from the Trading Day blog for Friday, June 6. The ASX 200 index closed down 0.3 per cent at 8517.5 points energy, industrials and utilities gains outweighed by falls in most other sectors despite US futures gains as Tesla rebounded afterhours.
Wall Street indexes closed in the red with the S&P 500 off 0.5 per cent, the Dow Jones slipping 0.3 per cent and the technology-focused Nasdaq shedding 0.8 per cent.
Cryptocurrency giant bitcoin is just under $US102,100.
The Aussie dollar is trading around US65.01c.
