Assad regime falls: As Bashar al-Assad flees, rebels find his collection of luxury cars

Islamist rebel forces who marched into Damascus and stormed Bashar al-Assad's palace found a massive fleet of high-end cars, including Mercedes, Porches, Audis and Ferraris.

Welcome to The Australian's rolling coverage of the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria. Syrian rebels say they have freed the capital, Damascus, after a week of swift military advances. Assad stepped down and fled the country after a deal was struck  with opposition forces.
