Prince Harry ‘tortured’ over quitting Royals, struggling with new life
Prince Harry is reportedly struggling to adjust to life in LA with Meghan Markle and feels guilty about being away from the Royals during COVID-19.
Prince Harry is reportedly “overwhelmed with guilt” over his decision to leave the Royal Family and struggling to adjust to his new life in Los Angeles.
The 35-year-old prince is also suffering from cabin fever, feeling stuck in the US with wife Meghan Markle during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new book.
In Royals At War: The Inside Story of Harry and Meghan’s Shocking Split With the House of Windsor, authors Andy Tillett and Dylan Howard claim Harry is “secretly tortured” over his dramatic move away from the Royals, the Sun reports.
The authors claim Prince Harry felt even worse when Prince Charles, 71, tested positive for coronavirus earlier this year, with it “hit(ting) home for him that Charles and the Queen aren’t going to be around forever” – while he is in lockdown at actor Tyler Perry’s $26m mansion.
A source told the authors: “On top of it all, he’s got cabin fever.
“It was far from an ideal situation. Harry’s gone from feeling excited about the move to feeling secretly tortured.”
Meghan is reportedly attempting to help her husband see the bright side of their new life.
“Meghan wants to take him hiking and talks about the local polo club and how much he’ll love surfing,” the authors report.
The couple are also set to make millions on the speaking circuit after reportedly signing same speaking agency as Barack and Michelle Obama, and Oprah Winfrey.
The couple signed with the Harry Walker Agency, which also has Bill and Hillary Clinton on its client list, soon after moving to LA from Canada.
A source told the authors: “Meghan has always been fascinated with the creation of a ‘brand’.
“I do not believe she married Harry with that solely in mind, but it was a determining factor.”
The couple controversially left the UK in January, moving to Canada before relocating to LA to be near Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland shortly after the coronavirus pandemic began.
