Former Twitter chief Jack Dorsey has urged the platform’s new owner Elon Musk to release all internal company conversations “without filter” so the public can “judge for themselves”.
“If the goal is transparency to build trust, why not just release everything without filter and let people judge for themselves? Including all discussions around current and future actions? Make everything public now,” the plaform’s co-founder tweeted.
Mr Musk declared “everything will be released”, giving new impetus to Republican plans to investigate the suppression during the 2020 US election of data from a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden.
He released details of internal deliberations at the company on suppressing a story about the laptop in the New York Post in October 2020. Emails from the computer point to Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s business affairs, including while he was vice-president.
