Back to its rightful date—the first Monday in May—, the Met Gala welcomed to the halls of New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art some of the modern-day's most illustrious designers, actors, artists and influencers.

'Gilded Glamour' was the theme of the evening, and there were a swathe of interpretations—from the very literal to the slightly off-piste.
