Aussie Dyson Daniels meanwhile racked up 11 points and eight assists with no turnovers in a career-high 36 minutes.

The 19-year-old impressed both ends of the floor yet again making most of his opportunity while Brandon Ingram (toe sprain) and Herb Jones (ankle) have been sidelined.

Daniels earned praise while matched up on Devin Booker last time they met and received plaudits for his defensive assignment on Chris Paul.

Paul only managed to score six points on 3-of-10 shooting with 11 assists after Daniels efforts.

It marked the Pelicans’ 12th win from their last 14 games to extend their lead at the top of the Western Conference standings.
