Got a head for heights? Amangiri resort’s new Cave Peak Stairway rises 120m above the ground to offer breathtaking (or terrifying) vistas of the stratified rock and huge mesas the Colorado plateau is famous for.

With 120 metal rungs or steps stretching more than 200m, it is the longest stairway of its kind in the northern hemisphere. The resort, which comprises luxurious suites and tented pavilions with private plunge pools, is a mecca for adventurers and rock climbers.

The new feature is in addition to the four existing “via ferratas”, Italian for iron roads, slung over precipitous canyons and gorges.
