La Prairie opens Art of Beauty Lounge in Sydney International Airport
Travellers can book pre-flight treatments to prepare the skin before flying, including a $350 Caviar illuminating massage to de-puff and brighten.
Luxury Swiss skincare brand La Prairie has announced the opening of a dedicated beauty lounge at the Sydney International Airport.
In partnership with Heinemann Tax & Duty Free, the Art of Beauty lounge, which opened on 27 February, is the first permanent skincare treatment service with private treatment rooms available to travellers.
Within its two Swiss-designed specialist suites, customers can escape the crowded terminals and indulge in treatments that have been crafted to guard the skin against the effects of flying, including air pressure, light exposure and temperatures. Prices range from $270 to $450 per treatment.
“With this beautiful and unique service experience, we are creating yet another compelling reason to arrive at the airport earlier,” George Tsoukala, managing director of Heinemann Tax & Duty Free Australia, says.
Located in the terminal directly after customs, the lounge offers the chance for guests to customise their experience from a menu of bespoke services, including a full-range of options using products from the house’s signature Skin and White Caviar collection. The lounge’s signature Art of Beauty treatment combines a deep cleansing, facial massage and application of La Prairie products to ensure the client’s skin remains hydrated and rejuvenated during their flight.
Starting with a one-on-one skincare consultation, guests are given the option to choose music and a scent to immerse all of their senses during their treatment.
Other highlights, which use products from the Platinum Rare, Pure Gold and Caviar collections, include an eye massage to smooth, firm and brighten the area and a consultation with a La Prairie Beauty Advisor to help select and apply the products best suited to each client’s skin.
“A La Prairie immersion is set to be the perfect way to commence international travel forever,” Noel Goris, Vice President of La Prairie Asia and Travel Retail, says.
Visits to the lounge can be pre-planned and booked through La Prairie website.
