A forthcoming movie has had T+I fantasising about Piedmont, the Italian region renowned for wine, Ferrero Rocher chocolates, the Fiat car brand and prized white truffles.

Released on February 18, The Truffle Hunters follows a group of elderly men who clamber through northern Italy’s forests seeking tartufo bianco with the aid of their trusty canines.

By all reports it is a charming film, focused almost equally on the relationship between hunter and hound as on the lucrative trade they are a part of. All of which leads to the pretty town of Alba, home of the world’s biggest truffle festival, which takes place each year in October and November.
