Jamie Lee Curtis is ready to feel young again. It's been nearly 20 years since she co-starred alongside Lindsay Lohan in Disney's body-swap comedy Freaky Friday,  now, she's confirmed she's "absolutely" keen for round two.

During a recent appearance on the talk show The View, Curtis revealed to host Sarah Haines that she's already written to "my friends at Disney" about the possibility of making a sequel to the 2003 flick. The actor, who is currently promoting her new film Halloween Kills, said that at this stage in her career she feels 'creatively wide open'.

When hosts gave Curtis the floor "to pitch Disney" on what she think the sequel might look like, Curtis was quick to oblige:

“Let me be the grandma! Let me be the old grandma who switches places,” Curtis said.

“So then Lindsay gets to be the sexy grandma, who is still happy with Mark Harmon in all the ways you would be happy with Mark Harmon…And simply, I would like to see Lindsay be the hot grandma, and I would like to see me try to deal with toddlers today.

"I wanna be a helicopter parent in today’s world, as an old lady.”

Curtis confirmed that she and Lindsay are friends, that regularly keep in touch. "Lindsay Lohan and I text. She texted me the other day, she’s in Ireland making [her new Netflix movie ‘Irish Wish’].”

The ball is in Disney's court, and considering the studios recent penchant for sequels (Hocus Pocus was rebooted almost 30 years later), it's not out of the question. We just want to know, will eternal teen heartthrob Chad Michael Murray make an appearance?

Freaky Friday is based on the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers. The 2003 film was the third (and best) adaptation of the novel, following a 1976 film starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Forster, and a 1995 made-for-tv-movie with Shelly Long and Gaby Hoffman. It was also adapted into a musical movie in 2018.
